Preserve Your Rights.
Attorney Jacob T. Simon is a consumer bankruptcy attorney and the principal of Simon Law. Dedicated to helping people find relief from overwhelming debt, Mr. Simon’s practice is devoted entirely to bankruptcy. Simon Law was founded on the principle that people in debt deserve the best legal representation in an economy that is stacked against them. Corporations and debt collectors have attorneys preserving their rights. Simon Law can preserve yours.
Mr. Simon devotes a significant portion of his practice to pro bono representation of low-income individuals through the Volunteer Lawyers Project of the Boston Bar Association (VLP) and through Northeast Legal Aid (“NLA”). He has helped clients manage against enormous student loan debt, false credit reporting, abusive debt collectors and other credit problems. He was named to the United States Bankruptcy Court’s Pro Bono Honor Roll for 2013 and 2014.
In 2013, Mr. Simon presented at the annual conference of the American Bankruptcy Institute (“ABI”) in Newport, RI and published a corresponding article focusing on the practice and procedure of filing a bankruptcy petition for an individual deemed not competent under the law. The article was selected for publication in the Best of ABI 2013: The Year in Consumer Bankruptcy as one of the best essays from among ABI Journal articles and educational materials used at ABI conferences.
Mr. Simon is a member of the Bankruptcy Law Section of the Boston Bar Association and is the co-chair of the Public Service Committee. Mr. Simon is also a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys.
